The start of the Easter school holidays was also the start of the Lancaster Stage and Dance Festival – running from Saturday 5th April to Thursday 10th.

It was an intense 6 days with me having a dance every day. Preparation started the night before – making sure my dance costumes were ready to go and that I had the right make-up and hair accessories to go with each one.

There were the usual early starts to shower and do make up and these were met with late finishes. Some evening I didn’t get back to Kendal until 10pm

As usual I really need to thank a few people. Mum – you’re always there for me, willing to drive every day to Lancaster and back, helping me do rapid changes of outfit to be ready in time for the next dance. Then sitting through long sections – sometimes with 30 competitors until your bum goes numb. I simply couldn’t do this without you. Thank you so much.

Nanna Wendy, your love and support are un-waivering. I can always depend on you to pick me up from the lows and celebrate the highs. Love you

Finally to all my friends and family who always take an interest in what I do, thank you. It means a lot.
